Helping the Elderly and Disabled

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of NMEDA for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.
My grandma Vera, God rest her soul, suffered a debilitating stroke. It left her her paralyzed on one side in her later years. She was an amazing women, and it was hard watching her struggle with tasks those without disabilities can easily accomplish. I am pleased to find out, there is a non-profit trade association out there that can help the elderly and disabled make important decisions. You can find this association online at NMEDA. You can also locate a dealer near you, by going to their homepage and simply entering your zip code.
So what is NMEDA you ask, well they don't sell anything, what they do is help the elderly and disabled consumers make educated decisions on their purchases of handicap vans and needed vehicle modifications. They are the only association that promotes safe driving and equipment for the disabled. They put you in touch with certified dealers, helping the elderly and disabled get back on the road to independence. These dealers are held to strict safety guidelines, and are made to adhere to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. They also have a Quality Assurance Program (QAP). This in the only nationally recognized accreditation program for the Adaptive Mobility Equipment Industry. Their main focus is customer service, having a systematic and documented approach to quality.
NMEDA wants you to be aware that no two people with a disability are exactly the same. That's why you should be leery of adapted wheelchair vehicles sold over the Internet and in catalogs. NMEDA can help consumers find equipment that has been made to fit their own personal needs after a personalized "in person" evaluation. It doesn't stop there, you can count on them to give you the training, and any additional equipment refinements needed, to provide you the best solution for your driving and lifestyle needs.
I found out that my closest dealer is in Chico California, where is yours? Head to NMEDA to find out, and let me know in a comment below. Let's help the disabled and elderly get back on the road to independence.

The most popular post of mine by far has been my Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Breakfast Wreath, found here.
I have made other versions of a crescent wreath, I even shared a dessert wreath on here with pb, jelly, and white chocolate, found here. With the Christmas holiday approaching, I thought it would be a fantastic time to share another wreath recipe of mine. Pepperoni Pizza being as popular as it is, seemed to be a good start. This wreath is super tasty, and easy too. I hope you will enjoy it this holiday season with your own family.

I am so excited to share all of my Winter crafts I have been working on. I must admit, I have been a craft junkie recently. I just love Christmas crafting.
Why don't we start with these snowman earrings. You don't need to wait for Christmas to wear these little guys. It is already snowing here in Northern Cali. So why not wear a pair of snowman earrings. Here is what you need for this easy project:

What I Wore Wedding Edition

Hair and dress on the day of my nieces wedding. The dress I ordered from Overstock with out having the chance to try it on. Luckily it was a perfect fit. They have it in white and black as well, and I would highly recommend the dress. It is stretchy so the fit is forgiving, and very comfortable to wear. It also looked great straight from my suitcase! The shoes were silver and adorned with bling. The necklace I made myself.
Hair the night before, at rehearsal dinner. I had to practice, this was my first attempt at this style, but it turned out to be pretty easy, even with my shorter hair.
My nails this week. I just found this color, it has some shimmer to it, and I thought it would be great for Fall. It is the Pure Ice Brand polish, in their Iced Copper color.
My adorable boys.

My handsome detective (who also officiated the wedding beautifully).
Our wedding gift to the bride and groom. The wedding was at Harris Ranch. This is a canvas of Harris Ranch with their names and date of wedding painted on top. It was my idea, I hope they love it.
Congratulations again to the lovely couple, Amanda and Autie :)
Please check out my Linky Love page for where I party.
