Easy Valentine's Day Breakfast

I can spend hours in the kitchen, preparing a fancy meal, but inevitably it's the easy recipes, like this one, that my kids enjoy the most.  It just goes to show that it doesn't take a lot of work or time to prepare a meal that is filled with love.  These baked ham and Swiss cheese breakfast sandwiches were super easy.  Not wanting to waist the little heart shaped dough I cut out of the center, I sprinkled them with cinnamon and sugar, so everyone had a little sweet treat on their plate.

Photobucket

First can I ask a little favor of you all?  Judges put me in the top 10 for the Guac Off Recipe Contest.  Now I am competing against 9 other recipes to win an ipad2!  There will be three ipad2 winners.  A celebrity chef will be picking the most tasty, Avocados from Mexico will be picking the most creative, and the public will determine the 3rd and final most popular winner!  Please help me secure the most popular vote.  My husband and I both broke our Droid phones this last week, so an iPad2 could really help me and my blogging out.  You can vote once daily until the contest ends on 1/31/12. I promise to stop talking  your ear off about the contest then too ;)
"hug hug kiss kiss" to all that do (BTW I was saying that in my best Nacho Libre Voice LOL)

Win a $5,000 Yard Makeover From "Bulbs. Dig, Drop, Done."

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Bulbs. Dig, Drop, Done. for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.
At "Dig, Drop, Done." you will learn all you need to know about bulbs, how to plant them, care for them, pick out your favorite ones, and even find incredible inspiration for using them.  I must admit, I have no green thumb, so I can use all the help I can get.  I always thought a bulb was just a seed, but it is so much more, it is actually a "self contained flower factory" as I learned from Marcy over at "Dig, Drop, Done." Another wonderful lady you will find over at "Dig, Drop, Done." is Juliana.  She has some great ideas for using  bulbs.  I love how they have used them in old water jugs (see picture below).  They also have some fabulous videos to watch, in one Evelyn had me cracking up, I could really relate to her quirky sense of humor.

How can you not love Evelyn, she is so adorable. She also has great advice on keeping pesky critters out of your yard.  Here in Northern Cali, we have a huge problem with deer eating our plants, I am going to have to try some of Evelyn's tips.

These bulbs really are so stunning. You will definitely want to  visit www.digdropdone.com to learn more.  Bulbs are not just for gardeners or people with green thumbs.  They can be really easy to work with.  They can be used for decorating both inside and out, and also make a lovely gift.
Now lets talk about what "Bulbs. Dig,  Drop, Done." is doing at Curbside Chaos.  They are giving away a $5,000 yard makeover!!!  That's not all, they will be sending celebrity Taniya Nayak to help you makeover your yard!  She will show you how to beautifully incorporate bulbs into your yard.  The goal is to teach everyone how bulbs can add simple beauty to your surroundings, with little effort on our parts.   To enter all you have to do is submit a picture of your yard at Curbside Chaos.
Want to make a difference well guess what, for every share on Twitter at "Bulbs. Dig, Drop, Done." they will donate $1.00 to  Rebuilding Together, an organization that is helping preserve affordable homeownership and revitalize communities.   As of writing this they have already earned $4,998!  Wow let's keep tweeting for a good cause.  After you tweet, make sure to check out their "Garden Guru Tool"  found on the bottom left hand side of  their site.  You simply select your country, and location within that country, then choose the type of bulb you want to grow, and it will give you a planting guide, like the one it gave me below:

Allium

Steps for better growth

  • Start with firm, plump allium bulbs, free from cuts, bruises or mold. Plant in Fall (Sept 23-Dec 22), when soil has cooled off.
  • Using a spade, dig a hole 3x the width of your bulb and place the bulb pointed end up.
  • Cover and lightly pack soil, then water thoroughly- and you’re done!
Tips: In areas with mild winters, plant later and chill your bulbs up to 8 weeks prior to planting. Plant in a sunny or partially shaded area. Space your bulbs 4-12 inches apart depending on the plant size

So make sure you visit www.digdropdone.com to learn more, enter to win at Curbside Chaos, and tweet at Curbside Chaos for a good cause.

Mindie Says Relax-All (Supplement Review As Seen on Dr. Oz)

MRM Relax-All 60 Caps
Best Price Nutrition sent me some Relax-All , as seen on the Dr. Oz Show, to review.  As someone that has struggled off and on my entire life with insomnia and anxiety, and have even taken Ambien and Zoloft in the past, I was thrilled to get my hands on this product.  I new it would be safe, because Dr. Oz recommends it, and that man lives and breaths health and nutrition.

Relax-All is just that, it helps relax your entire body and mind. If you are like me, working from what feels like sun up to sun down, not having much down time, sometimes it's hard to relax enough to fall asleep at night.  Relax-All supports relaxation and calmness to your muscles.  It also aids in a better night's sleep.  So how does it work you ask, well Relax-All has Jujube in it.  Jujube seeds have been used for centuries in China to aid in relaxation.  It also has Magnolia Bark which helps to regulate and calm your central nervous system, reducing stress and anxiety. Relax-All also has Beta-phenyl-gamma-aminobutyric acid in it, yes that's a big word, but what you need to know is that it supports a feeling of tranquility, by reducing anxiety and aiding in muscle relaxation. It also has calcium and magnesium in it, both help prevent muscle cramps, and have a tranquilizing property.  What I love about this product is that it's a natural way to relax your body and mind.  Let's face it, your mind and body both need to be at peace, to get a great nights sleep.  After taking the product, I see why it is being endorsed by Dr. Oz, because it really works.  It is also a vegetarian supplement, so vegans, you can relax too!

I would love to hear what you all think about Relax-All.  Do any of you struggle with anxiety or poor sleep?
If you would like to purchase some Relax-All you can here at almost 50% off the normal MSRP.  That means a bottle of 60 pills is only $12.99.

Would you like to have a Relax-All Supplement giveaway here at Bacon Time?
Let me know if a comment below.

I was not compensated monetarily for this review.  The above opinions are all mine.

Spring Inspired Jewelry I Have Been Making

Bracelet Real Pearls
I know it's the middle of Winter, but I have found myself craving Spring.  I have added a few new items to my shop, and I thought I would share.  I think this colorful bracelet would be fun to wear in the Spring. I don't know why, but I always seem to wear my pearls around Easter time. It is made of almost 100 real pearls, on a coil band (that should fit most), and is adorned with a Tibetan silver photo frame charm, "made with love" lock, and key.

Why I love Avocados

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Avocados from Mexico for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Bag of avocados from Mexico
I love avocados because I feel like they are one of those foods that taste so good, I should feel guilty eating them, but I don't.  Fact is my doctor encourages me to eat avocados daily to level out my blood sugar and take in healthy fat, plus they are green, and my kids think that is pretty cool.  There are so many creative ways you can use avocados, for example our  guacamole tree and Grinch from December (pictured below).

At I love avocados on Facebook, you can download ringtones, blog badges, wallpaper/screensaver, or send a virtual gift.  I sent my guacamole loving hubby a virtual bag of avocados and love note;)  It was easy to do, the site will walk you through with step by step directions.  It only took a few seconds to send a virtual gift. You can find some wonderful free avocado recipes here at Avocados from Mexico.  You can stay connected and up to date with what's hot with avocados on Twitter @guacgrl. Share your love of avocados by tweeting #iloveavocados.
